IFC loans Goodlife Pharmacy $4.5 million to invest in healthcare in East Africa

Kenya is among Sub Saharan countires that have benefited from World Bank funds to improve the medical services sector. The International Finance Corporation Wednesday loaned Goodlife Pharmacy $4.5 million in a deal that is expected to help the pharmaceutical company offer quality health products at an affordable cost.

Population and income growth are driving increased demand for healthcare with a majority of Kenyans served by small-scale pharmacies.
